Insel
der Stille (Island of Solitude)
Published in March 2003 in Europe's
largest motorcycle magazine MOTORRAD.
The northern Island of Hokkaido is a
wild and rugged place, especially by
Japanese standards. A ten-day journey in
this remote region was one of the
highlights of my time in Japan. You can
